Launched by Hasbro and Takara Tomy in 2023, Beyblade X is the first all-new Beyblade system in years. It introduces the Xtreme Gear System — beys equipped with gear-like teeth that lock into rail-equipped Xtreme stadiums for high-velocity, kinetic battles unlike anything in the Burst era.
Beyblade X uses a three-part construction (Blade, Ratchet, Bit) and isn't cross-compatible with Burst-series parts. If you've seen the new wave of Beyblade content online, this is what's powering it.

The Beyblade Burst era ran from 2016 through 2023, with Hasbro releasing a new sub-series roughly every year. Each one introduced a new battle mechanic, but all Burst tops share the same three-part construction (Energy Layer, Forge Disc, Performance Tip) and can be mix-and-matched across series. Here's every Burst series we carry, with what makes each one unique.
The final entry in the Burst era before Beyblade X took over. QuadStrike refined the modular customization concept introduced in QuadDrive. Shop Burst QuadStrike single packs.
QuadDrive launched the modular era. Tops feature swappable Drive components that let you reconfigure between attack, defense, and stamina strategies between rounds. Shop QuadDrive singles or QuadDrive Dual Packs.
One of our deepest-stocked series. Surge Speedstorm tops are tournament-favorites for attack-type builds. Browse Speedstorm Single Tops, Speedstorm Dual Packs, the Infinite Starter Pack, or cross-series Surge vs. Hypersphere 2-Packs.
The Rise era introduced the most visually dramatic battles in Burst history. Top sellers include the Rise Hypersphere Starter Pack with Ace Dragon D5, plus Single Packs and Dual Packs.
Slingshock remains a fan favorite because the rail mechanic enables strategies impossible in other stadiums. Shop the Turbo Slingshock Starter Pack, Single Tops, or Dual Packs.
Turbo introduced the SwitchStrike mechanic that defined the mid-Burst era. Shop the Turbo SwitchStrike Starter Pack with Asteroid Zeutron Z3.
Evolution was the first major refinement of the original Burst system. The Evolution SwitchStrike Starter Pack featuring Amaterios A3 remains one of the most sought-after Burst-era tops.
Where the modern Beyblade era began. Shop Classic Burst Dual Packs (Caynox & Wyvron) and the Rip Fire Pack WYVRON W2.
The Pro Series sits parallel to the main Burst lineup as Hasbro's higher-end competitive offering. Shop Pro Series tops including Judgment Joker.
Quick reference for picking the right Beyblade series. All Burst tops cross-compete; Beyblade X is its own ecosystem.

Stadium choice changes battle dynamics. Speed-focused tips perform best on flat speed-zone surfaces; Hypersphere tips need vertical walls; standard arenas work for any general burst combat.
Across both Beyblade X and the Burst series, tops fall into four strategic archetypes:
Pro tips for competitive play:
Beyblade X (launched 2023) is an entirely new system — it uses a three-part Blade/Ratchet/Bit construction and the Xtreme Gear System, where gear-like teeth on the bey engage rails inside the Xtreme Stadium for high-velocity battles. Beyblade Burst (2016–2023) uses Energy Layer/Forge Disc/Performance Tip construction with a burst-when-defeated mechanic. Parts are not cross-compatible — Beyblade X tops can't combine with Burst tops, and Burst tops won't perform correctly in Xtreme Stadiums.
For new bladers buying today, Beyblade X is the current generation and where new content and community activity are concentrated. For collectors or kids already familiar with Burst, any Burst series is a solid entry — Surge Speedstorm and Rise Hypersphere have the deepest aftermarket and stadium options. Pro Series suits adult competitive collectors.
Yes. Every Burst top from 2016–2023 (Original, Evolution, Turbo, SwitchStrike, Slingshock, Rise, Surge, QuadDrive, QuadStrike) uses the same three-part system and can be mixed and matched. Some special features only activate in their matching stadiums (Slingshock rails, Hypersphere vertical drops) but the tops themselves battle anywhere.
Starter Packs include a complete Beyblade plus a launcher and (usually) a ripcord — everything you need to battle right out of the box. Single Tops include just the Beyblade itself, intended for collectors and bladers who already own launchers. Dual Packs include two complete Beyblades for instant head-to-head matches.
Yes — Beyblade X is designed for Xtreme Stadiums with built-in rails that engage the gear-teeth on Beyblade X tops. You can spin Beyblade X tops in older Burst stadiums, but the kinetic gear-rail effect that defines the system won't activate.
Hasbro officially recommends ages 8 and up for Beyblade due to small parts and the precision required for launching. Younger kids can enjoy them with supervision. The strategy, customization, and tournament scene appeal strongly to bladers aged 8–14, plus a substantial adult collector and competitive community.
Authentic Hasbro and Takara Tomy Beyblades include official branded packaging, a unique QR code on the Energy Layer (Burst) or Blade (X) for scanning into the official app, proper weight balance, clean plastic edges, and official product codes. ToyShnip stocks 100% genuine Beyblades sourced directly from authorized distributors.
Every Beyblade we list is physically in our warehouse — no preorders, no dropshipping. Orders typically ship within 1–2 business days from our facility in New York, with tracking provided.
